INGLEWOOD, CA – JUNE 1, 2005 – KTLA News and KJLH Radio Station will partner to simulcast their morning news programs live in Inglewood at Inglewood City Hall, located at One Manchester Blvd. in the South Mall area across from Inglewood High School, beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2005. The live segments will be staged in front of City Hall and at some remote sites, including the Forum. The news show will feature KTLA news personalities, including Gayle Anderson and Eric Spillman; Mark’s weather, Sam’s entertainment, Kurt the “Cyber Guy” and a live audience. KJLH-102.3FM will broadcast their morning show live with Cliff Winston and Janine and the Home Team. The community is invited to participate in the live audience beginning at 7:00 a.m.
The morning news program will showcase an array of offerings that capture the soul of Inglewood. Featured in the two-hour show will be the spirit-filled talents of several gospel choirs from local Inglewood churches; a mouth-watering summer food contest featuring Inglewood restaurants; a hair show and contest displaying the talents of some of Inglewood’s finest hair salons, and a special Father’s Day segment celebrating “Real Men Cook,” a prostate cancer resource network.
