Inglewood, CA (April 21, 2010)-- On Monday, May 31, 2010, the City of Inglewood will host its 62nd Annual Memorial Day Celebration.  The ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Memorial Obelisk Monument at Inglewood City Hall's South Mall located at One Manchester Boulevard. 

The City’s commemorative ceremony will celebrate the lives of war heroes from the City of Inglewood, and also pay tribute to the courageous men and women who are currently serving in the armed forces.  This year’s memorial will be extremely significant as we reflect on sacrifices of past years and remember the many brave servicemen and women who have given their lives fighting to preserve our freedom.

Over 20 local and community-based organizations will take part in the ceremony.  The public is invited to join the City of Inglewood in paying tribute to the nation’s and Inglewood’s heroic servicemen and women.
