The Mission of the Residential Sound Insulation Department is to provide an improved quality of life for those residents impacted by aircraft noise within designated noise contours. This is achieved through the attainment, coordination and management of grant funds provided by the Federal Aviation Administration and Los Angeles World Airports. These funds are used to implement the objectives of the Residential Sound Insulation Department.
