Citizen Participation

HUD regulations require that the City has and follows a formal citizen participation plan in order to receive funding. The City's Citizen Participation Plan provides for and encourages public involvement in identifying community needs and uses of funds in low-income areas. Public hearing, community meetings, workshops, and a community survey have been useful tools in the past in obtaining public opinion on how funds should be used. The Citizen Participation plan is on file in the Office of the City Clerk and the CDBG Division.
