Palm Tree Maintenance Tips

The Tree Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff engaged in the maintenance, removal and installation of trees. The Tree and Street Landscaping Section provides quality tree maintenance to approximately 35,000 trees throughout the City of Inglewood. Some of the activities of the Section include, but are not limited to, stump and root pruning, stump removal, hedge trimming, cutting tree wells, removal and replanting of parkways trees, inspection of trees for diseases and insects, and the application of pesticides to diseased trees. The main objective is to maintain all City trees and landscapes in a safe, healthy, and beautiful condition.

Tree Maintenance and Street Landscaping Deployment Schedule

6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Set up site in assigned areas (Place signage and safety cones on street).

7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Trim trees, chip and grind limbs, clean up grounds after trimming.
9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Continue to trim trees and clean up grounds in assigned areas.
12:40 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Continue to trim trees and clean up grounds in assigned areas.
