It is with great sadness that the Inglewood Police Department announces the untimely death of Inglewood Police Officer Caleb Haskell. On Saturday, September 9, 2006, at about 1320 hours, Officer Haskell was involved in an off-duty traffic collision as he was riding his motorcycle southbound on Angeles Crest Highway.
Officer Haskell was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital in the City of Pasadena, where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Altadena station.
Officer Haskell, 28, was appointed as an Inglewood Police officer on November 14, 2005, and was in the latter stages of his probationary period. He was well-respected by his peers and will be sadly missed.
The funeral arrangements are as follows:
