City Seeking Agencies for Housing Assistance Program

The City of Inglewood is seeking agencies to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide housing assistance programs for low- to moderate-income Inglewood residents.  Authorized under Title II of the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, as amended, the housing assistance program is funded under the HOME Investment Partnership Act and regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 

Eligible non-profit agencies must be certified by the National Neighborworks Association or HUD to provide housing counseling services, including: foreclosure prevention and mortgage assistance evaluation; loan/loss intervention and assistance with lender negotiations; outreach and marketing to low- to moderate-income homeowners at-risk of default; client case management and recordkeeping; and, homeownership training.   In addition, the agency shall provide housing rehabilitation and construction management.

Interested non-profit agencies must submit a Letter of Intent indicating interest in applying for the housing assistance program grant, and must send a representative to a mandatory technical assistance workshop prior to proposal submittal.  The mandatory workshop is scheduled for:
