The Honorable Council Members of the City of Inglewood have scheduled a public hearing to receive community input on a recommended amendment to the Three-Year FY 2007-2010 Consolidated Plan and the 2009-2010 Annual Action Plan. The plans include funding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program under the auspices of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The public hearing will be held on the date, time, and at the place listed below. Interested persons wishing to make comments or provide input are invited to attend.

The Three-Year FY 2007-2010 Consolidated Plan and the 2009-2010 Annual Action Plan for the City of Inglewood serve as the Cityrategic plan submitted to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for its federally funded Consolidated Plan Grant programs. The summary below highlights the recommended amendments to the plans, which includes reallocating a portion of the City 1994-1995 Section 108 Loan guarantee proceeds and the program income from interest earned on the unused portion of the funds. All funds will be used to benefit very-low, low- and moderate-income persons in the City of Inglewood.
During the public hearing process, members of the public will have an opportunity to provide input regarding the recommended use of CDBG Entitlement and Program Income funds. It is recommended that the funds be allocated for construction of the recreational facility portion of the Locust Street Senior Center and Senior Residences Project and to add to the budget for the construction and installation of two artificial turf fields in Edward Vincent Park for the purpose of providing recreational field space for the sports of American football and soccer. Both uses are eligible CDBG public improvement projects in accordance with 24 CFR Part 570, Section 201(c) ic Eligible Activities, Public Facilities and Improvements.
