Crews have completed demolishing the old railroad freight bridge, removed debris, and installed new traffic signalization. Additionally, the traffic lanes have been re-striped and k-rail installed. One lane in each direction on Century Boulevard will be temporarily removed so construction crews can build infrastructure for the new light rail aerial station for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, an 8 1/2 mile light rail line that will connect the Metro Green Line and Expo Rail Lines in 2019.
Metro, LA World Airports, LADOT, CHP and law enforcement officials report no major problems with LAX operations or area traffic this weekend. Thank you to the public for heeding warnings for planning ahead, allowing extra travel time and taking public transit.
